Outreach

Serving God Through Worship, Faith, Friendship, and Outreach

What if church were not just a building? Not a noun, but an action verb?

Jesus gave the Great Commission, and told us to “Go into the world” doing the things that he did: teaching, healing, feeding hungry people, speaking out about injustice and calling the world to more faithful living.

At Faith we try to live into this commission by moving out of the walls of the church into the world.

We try to enter the world at its most vulnerable places.

We invite you to join us as we walk through the doors of our church into the world.

Waseca FUMC Blessing Box

A few of the outreach ministries of Faith are:

“Faith’s Blessing Box”, a little food pantry, available to those who face food insecurity in our community.

Monthly Support of Neighborhood Services Center through “Pancake Sunday”.  Every fourth Sunday of the month, we collect pancake/biscuit mix and syrup for the Food Shelf.

In October/November Women of Waseca Faith UMC collect hats and mittens to donate to children in need in our community.

Our church serves as a collection site for the Minnesota Valley Action Council “Soap Closet” program which collects hygiene items for those in need in our community.

One of the exciting ways Faith United Methodist engages in outreach is through our Women in Faith group who donate to local organizations.  Click here to see their page: Women in Faith
